Princeton women release schedule

The Princeton University women’s basketball team which will go for a fifth consecutive Ivy League title this season announced its schedule Monday.

The Tigers open against in-state rival Rutgers — they crushed the Scarlet Knights 71-55 at Jadwin Gym last year — on Nov. 10 with the home opener coming a week later against eight-year running Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champ Marist.

The Red Foxes are one of four opponents that reached the NCAA tournament. The others are St. Joe’s (Nov. 26), at Navy (Dec. 6) and Delaware (Dec. 15).

Princeton’s Ivy opener is Jan. 11 at Penn.

The Tigers are coming off a 22-7 season in which they went 13-1 in the Ivy for their fourth straight title. They lost to Florida State in the first-round of the NCAA tournament.
