Rider women announce non-league schedule

The Rider women's basketball team released its 2013-14 non-conference schedule Monday.

The Broncs, under seventh-year coach Lynn Milligan, are looking to build off a 15-15 season which was their best since a 16-12 campaign in 1994-95.

The season opens on Nov. 8 at Lafayette and is highlighted by home games against Mercer County rival Princeton (Nov. 19) and Sweet 16 participant Delaware (Nov. 24).

Rider also has a trip to in-state rival Seton Hall on Nov. 10.

The Tigers and Blue Hens combined for 54 wins a year ago as both reached the NCAA tournament. Delaware, of course, no longer boasts Elena Delle Donne, who was selected second overall in the WNBA Draft.

Five of the non-conference games are at home with LIU-Brooklyn, Binghamton and Central Connecticut State also visiting Alumni Gym.

The Broncs will play in the Navy Classic with games scheduled against UMBC and Navy.

Here is the full non-league schedule:

Nov. 8 at Lafayette
Nov. 10 at Seton Hall
Nov. 14 vs. LIU-Brooklyn
Nov. 19 vs. Princeton
Nov. 24 vs. Delaware
Nov. 29 at Navy Classic (vs. UMBC)
Nov. 30 at Navy Classic (vs. Navy)
Dec. 14 vs. Binghamton
Dec. 21 vs. Central Connecticut State
