Welcome back to the Trentonian's Full-Court Press blog. Yes, we're still alive, and with the 2015-16 season rapidly approaching, it's time to fire up the old blog for another season. Check back here throughout the year for updates on all things Rider and Princeton, including coverage of both the MAAC and Ivy League. Rider Gameday: at Manhattan

Who: Rider (9-13, 5-6) at Manhattan (8-11, 5-5)

When: Tuesday, 7 p.m., Draddy Gymnasium, Riverdale, New York

Radio: 107.7 FM The Bronc

Last Time Out: Rider def. Canisius, 79-68; Manhattan lost to Iona, 70-56

Series History: Rider leads, 24-21, including victories in 12 of the last 17. The Broncs swept the season series last year, winning both games in overtime.

Scouting Manhattan: The Jaspers are coming off a 14-point loss to archrival Iona, but that game was in New Rochelle. Manhattan has won four of its last five MAAC games inside the friendly confines of Draddy, including a seven-point triumph over league-leader Monmouth. The key against Steve Masiello-coached teams remains the same — don’t turn the ball over against the press. The Jaspers force 15.8 turnovers per game. Rider also must be aware of senior guard Shane Richards, a 3-point specialist who leads Manhattan in scoring at 17.4 points per game. He shoots the 3 at 36.6 percent, having attempted 134 this season.

Scouting Rider: The Broncs are playing as well as anybody in the MAAC at the moment, putting their 0-5 league start further and further in the rearview mirror. Kahlil Thomas has emerged as one of the top post players in conference, compiling a league-leading eight double-doubles. He matched career bests in points (21) and rebounds (14) against Canisius. When Rider won last season at Draddy, it had success finding Khalil Alford — now a starter — in the high post against Manhattan’s trapping zone. Because Alford can hit the elbow-jumper, he deposited what was a career-high 14 points in that game. This is the first of three straight on the road for Kevin Baggett’s club.
