Welcome back to the Trentonian's Full-Court Press blog. Yes, we're still alive, and with the 2015-16 season rapidly approaching, it's time to fire up the old blog for another season. Check back here throughout the year for updates on all things Rider and Princeton, including coverage of both the MAAC and Ivy League. Can you please stop talking about RT and the NBA. Besides the fact that he plays no D and was shut down at crunchtime vs Rutgers.....he has no interest in playing if there are no scouts in the building. 5 today at monmouth and 1 vs Marist. All he cares about is the NBA...even though he can't play there. How about focusing on this year and trying to win a championship....instead of trying to get a payday.

Anon,

Not sure where the venom directed at Thompson comes from. I'd also challenge your claim that he "can't play" in the NBA. I'm certainly not claiming he definitely will, but if he had no chance, there wouldn't be scouts watching him at every game.

And if his performance is clearly better when there are scouts around, it didn't show today, when he had only one field goal.

Also, you wrote "please stop talking about RT and the NBA."

Yet despite having an NBA prospect on a MAAC team being a pretty big story that a lot of people follow, this is the first NBA-related story I've written all year.

There was another post about RT and the NBA early in the year. 6.6 guys are a dime a dozen. I was not there but there couldn't have been any scouts there today in a foot of snow to watch them play monmouth. The kid needs to focus on winning games and trying to win a championship....not the NBA. His brother wanted win a chamionship in college....period. The rest took care of itself.
