Rider, Rutgers moved to 3 p.m. on Dec. 28

Rider's game at Rutgers on Friday, Dec. 28 has been moved from 7:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The change was made to accommodate fans who want to watch the Rutgers football team in the Russell Athletic Bowl against Virginia Tech, which kicks off at 5:30 p.m.

"We felt it was very important that our fans attending the basketball game also had the opportunity to watch the Russell Athletic Bowl against Virginia Tech," said Rutgers athletic director Tim Pernetti in a statement. "This is a significant day for Rutgers and we want all of our fans to enjoy it. Moving the basketball game involved logistical challenges, but it was the right decision for our fans base."

The Scarlet Knights and Broncs have met 15 times, with Rutgers holding a 14-1 edge.
