Rider 88, Manhattan 59
And in a conference game Rider badly needed to win, Penn had plenty of help.
In Rider's 88-59 rout of Manhattan, Penn scored a career-high 26 points on 8-for-13 shooting. He passed his carer high of 14 in the first half, then kept the baskets coming -- from inside and out -- after that.
"He can be an explosive scorer at times," coach Tommy Dempsey said. "If he can defend and rebound and become a complete player he can be really good. ... He was good in our press, he rebounded the ball well and the shots fell."

Doods, I was reading your game story and flabbergasted to read the stat that Rider hasn't had as much as 12 assists in a game since 2007! That exemplifies why this team is always mediocre. I have always contended they are most talented team in the MAAC, and the recruiting rankings prove that true, but they have no discernible system other than randomly jacking up threes
Hey Bryan,
Fitting that since you've left so many comments over the years, yours may be the last.
The assist number was a typo. They had 23, not 12. My mistake, and no one caught it. ... It's fixed in the story now.
Thanks for reading along all this time. Hope you'll keep following the MAAC coverage going forward.
I see, that would have been a stunning stat.
Thanks for providing the blog all this time. I am heartened to know there are so many other Rider die hards out there
Wow. Not even a pep about the pitt game. Trentonian, C'mon. Don't let Doods go down like this!
To paraphrase Tony Curtis, "I love you, Doody."
find someone else to take over this blog trentonian. give it to someone, anyone. o'gorman, pratico, just keep the maac fans happy please
