Welcome back to the Trentonian's Full-Court Press blog. Yes, we're still alive, and with the 2015-16 season rapidly approaching, it's time to fire up the old blog for another season. Check back here throughout the year for updates on all things Rider and Princeton, including coverage of both the MAAC and Ivy League. Dempsey will handle Facebook situation internally

Tommy Dempsey told me Sunday he is aware of the Facebook comments made by Jermaine Jackson, Robbie Myers and Kevin Vosilla and will handle the situation internally.

There isn't a whole lot Rider can do about Vosilla, who copied a post calling for Dempsey's firing from a fan on the Rider page and made no effort to indicate it wasn't his own opinion. Vosilla also mocked a Dempsey quote about Myers in Sunday's Trentonian, and Myers responded by writing "f*&# u dempsey."

Jackson, buried on the depth chart behind freshman Dera Nd-Ezuma, complained about his lack of playing time following Rider's blowout loss to Siena on Friday.

Some form of discipline is possible for Myers and Jackson, but Dempsey indicated both players will travel with the team to the MAAC tournament.

Dempsey knew about the comments before Sunday's game but opted to start Myers anyway. After Myers hit a 3 with 11 seconds left, Dempsey praised him in his postgame press conference, saying "the basketball Gods were smiling on Robbie."

Won't comment on Vosilla and Myers, but from what I have seen of Jackson he stinks and he plays dumb. I don't know what is more alarming, his play or the fact that he thinks he deserves more of it.

Send him back to Reading and free up the scholarship.

Myers stinks too. It says a lot about his ability that he has size but can't get on the floor for a team that can't guard the post.
There are several division 3 coaches who gave said that he couldn't even play for them at this point.

Myers is obviously a competitive kid who wanted to play. As a Senior, it probably depressed him watching Ringold, Ezuma, Jackson, et. get pushed around like rag dolls in the post all year.

While I don't think telling the coach to go F%#@ himself in Facebook is the way to handle a situation, I can appreciate his frustration. Watching your senior year go down the tubes with a bunch of soft heartless paint players can't be easy.

You sound like you speak from experience rider fan 1. Did you sit the bench behind players with no heart at some point?
Bottom line, Myers stinks and has onbviously regressed from his frosh year.

Faz, I have read a lot of your crap over the past four months. According to you, MAAC First Team Selection Rositter stinks also. Maybe Rider could put their crappy player, Myers, on Siena's crappy player Rossiter, and he won't drop a double double on them if they play in the MAAC semis.

Those 2 stiffs could double Anthony Johnson and he would still get 24 and 22.

Bottom line is Dempsey lost respect from some of his players. You play the guys who want to play and give it their all and you sit or kick off the team the players who complain and are a problem internally for the team. #1 Fan, I hear what you are saying, but frustration or no frustration, you don't make a comment about your Coach who offered you a full athletic/academic scholarship (probably $120,000 or so for the non scholarship person) to play for a Division 1 basketball team. You have your entire college career paid for by the University and then make a comment like that?
