ben, your credibility will continue to take hits if you say things like "I am skeptical that rossiter is the best player in the league" yet you voted for him as POY. I thought that you were supposed to be a MAAC "expert?"
One final thought after the chat. If any other coach in the league had talked about pre-season stats including closed door scrimmages they would be thrown to the fire by Siena fans. There coach does it and oh well that's just Mitch being Mitch. Interesting.
Mitch being Mitch is why he's been buried on the bench for 20 plus years. Siena made a bad hire trying to keep the current run together. They would have been better off getting a solid head coach rather than a retread.

ReplyDeleteI think Needham has a higher ceiling, but awards like this aren't about ceilings, they're about results.
Am I extremely confident Rossiter will have the best year of anyone in the league? No.
Do I think he has the best chance of any player to have the biggest impact? Yes.
It's not a black-and-white kind of thing; lot of factors involved and a lot of unknowns.
Gun to my head, though, he'll be the Player of the Year.
